About Forum
The Research Centre for Psycho-Social Health - Forum - was founded in 2003 and is currently based at the Maria Ungdom Clinic, Addiction and Dependence Centre, in the Stockholm City County. The research group is part of the Karolinska Institutet.
We carry out different projects in collaboration with several universities, governmental authorities and about 40 municipalities. The research staff at Forum is composed by senior researchers, postdoctoral fellows, doctoral students and co-workers with diverse professional backgrounds: psychologists, sociologists, criminologists, methodologists, social workers professional nurses and project administrators.
In addition to the research activity we created an educational network for specific assessment and treatment methods. We also offer a large number of courses, mainly designed to implement the use of clinical assessment protocols.
Research for change
The mission of Forum is to improve psychological well-being among adolescents and youths by preventing and limiting alcohol abuse, substance misuse and gambling addiction problems.
